FORM: Spreading with a rounded canopy

FOLIAGE: Leaves are oval shaped and serrated, pale green in Spring turning yellow and then golden in Autumn.

 DESCRIPTION: The Golden Elm is a large spreading tree, with a rounded canopy, growing to a height of 15 metres. The young serrated leaves are pale green in Spring turning yellow and then golden in Autumn. Roots are invasive. Susceptible to Elm Leaf Beetle.

 LANDSCAPE USES: Ideal shade tree, used for parks and larger gardens, also on farms as shelter for stock.

 TOLERANCES: Tolerant of air pollution and wind.

 TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
